Customer – GE Energy

Project – Baglan Moors Power Station

Introduction

One of the world’s leading suppliers of power generation and energy delivery, GE Energy needed to carry out some improvements to their processes at their Baglan Moors Power Station near Swansea, South Wales and needed Precision Engineering and Design support for the duration of the project.

Details

A team of General Electric Test Engineers from the United Kingdom and the United States were brought in to work on the modification to the Telemetry process which had to be completed in a very short timescale. The project involved the design and manufacture of precision steel and aluminium components to be fitted to existing equipment, along with modifications to other existing equipment within their process.

Successes

The project was a complete success and essential timescales were met with time to spare. The positive feedback from the client led to further projects on other areas of the site.
