New Facility – Spark Erosion

The Agie ActSpark SE1

We are pleased to announce that we have a new capability here at Fairwood Engineering – Spark Erosion.

Up until December 2023 we have always outsourced our Spark Erosion requirements. However we are now able to perform this important process in-house; reducing the wait time and costs for our customers.

We look forward to meeting your needs more fully as we continue to invest the facilities and capabilities here at Fairwood.

We are pleased to announce an addition to our CNC Milling department of a new HURCO VM10i

Our machinists are looking forward to getting to grips with the new machine.

This will continue to help us meet our deadlines in what is proving to be one of the busiest years Fairwood has ever had!

Seagrass Project

The Seagrass cutter frame all ready for the blades.

Fairwood Precision Engineering is proud to be a part of the Seagrass Ocean Rescue project in conjunction with Swansea University.

Our team of expert engineers and machinists were able to construct the main frame for the seagrass cutter that will be instrumental in the ongoing project.

A link to the BBC Article can be found here, detailing the importance of the project in maintaining the ocean biosphere.

We look forward to hearing more about the success of the project over the coming months and years.
